Con un comunicato nel loro sito ufficiale gli Interpol hanno annunciato la data di uscita del loro quinto album in studio, intitolato “El Pintor”.
L’album è stato registrato a New York nel 2013 (da James Brown agli Electric Lady Studios & Atomic Sound) e mixato a Londra (da Alan Moulder agli Assault & Battery studios) nella prima parte del 2014.
Il disco uscirà l’8 Settembre ed è anticipato da un video che raccoglie i retroscena delle registrazioni dell’album che potete vedere alla fine dell’articolo.

It’s been a long time coming but we’re finally ready to share some new album news. We’d like to announce the release of our upcoming new album, El Pintor. We wrote & recorded the bulk of the album in 2013 in NYC and finished mixing it in London during the early part of this year. We’re very excited to share the album with all of you. The album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios & Atomic Sound by Mr James Brown and mixed by Mr Alan Moulder at Assault & Battery studios. We had a lot of fun making this record and can’t wait for you to hear it. The album will be released on September 9th in North America and September 8th in all other territories. We also took the opportunity to capture some background film footage of the recording of the album.
