Songs of Innocence
L’ultimo nuovo album degli U2 dal titolo “Songs Of Innocence”, contenente 11 brani, è uscito in edizione tradizionale su etichetta Island Records il 13 Ottobre 2014. La pubblicazione ha seguito l’uscita digitale gratuita del 9 Settembre per tutti gli iscritti a U2.com e come regalo di Apple a oltre mezzo miliardo di clienti dell’iTunes Music Store nel mondo.
“Songs of Innocence” è ad oggi il lavoro più personale degli U2 e incrocia le primissime influenze musicali della band, dal rock e punk-rock anni ’70 alla prima elettronica e musica ambient anni ’80, offrendo una panoramica su come e perché è nata la band.
L’album affronta tematiche come la casa, la famiglia, i rapporti umani, le scoperte ed è stato registrato a Dublino, Londra, New York e Los Angeles con i produttori Danger Mouse, Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder, Declan Gaffney e Flood.
